Yes, our little family is out of town for a Spring Break vacation. How do we know we are on vacation??
Well, first we flew on an airplane.
We arrived at a lovely location in Arizona.
We watched some Spring Training baseball.
Autographs on baseballs.
We ate some excellent food.
Chip started throwing up. A lot. Like 16 times in a 24 hour period. He threw up about every 30 minutes for most of the day yesterday.
The grand finale was late last night when he was pooping and barfing at the same time. I unfortunately must tell you that he was not sitting on the toilet when the incident occurred. It was a mess of epic proportions. Although it is a bit embarrassing for Chip it was no surprise to any of us. In fact, that is how we know we are officially on vacation.
Our family doesn't do vacation without a trip to the emergency room or the pharmacy late at night for medication or some other emergency necessity. Last night it was a trip to a 24 hour Walgreens for an emergency plunger and some gatorade.
It was a bad situation.
He's better of course. Much better today. Seems it was a 24 hour stomach bug of some sort or the other.
That is 24 hours I will never get back. There were numerous towels involved. Baths. Sleeping on the sofa. Sipping on water and gatorade. Mattresses dragged from the bed to the living room to be able to sleep near the patient. Much up and down. No real rest really. Who needs rest on vacation??? Not me. No sir. I can sleep at home.
There is much more to come on the lovely, lovely time we are having in Arizona. I will have to wait until I get home to upload the pictures and share them with you. In the meantime, just know that this vacation is proving to be par for the course!
